Lakeside Mystery II
(Saturday, January 17, 2009  -  6:00 pm to Midnight)

Ever wanted to use some of those fabulous hand-dyed or gradation fabrics?  Then, this original contemporary quilt will tickle your fancy.  Seven hand-dyed or graduated tone on tone fabrics plus a dark fabric foundation will let you experiment with the play of color.  Your fabrics can span over several color families (i.e. yellow to orange to red) or stay within one group.  Either way you will be amazed at the results you will get.  It's all about color placement.  You will use simple piecing techniques to put this quilt together, but get very successful results.  A 1/4” seam allowance is the key to your success.  There is a bit of work to be done before class, but then the fun begins.  The finished quilt is approximately 60”x60”.  Skill Level: Intermediate.
