What great fun we had at Road to California 2009. It was more than a candy store. It was a whole candy town. The quilts were fabulous. They displayed such talent and artistry of every facet of our craft. I hope that you all came away inspired.
The Road Mystery classes were full of great students. It is always interesting to see the variety of fabrics that the students select and bring to class. All the fabrics are wonderful and it is fascinating to see them come together in the quilts. I am looking forward to getting photos of their quilts for the gallery.
Next up is the 2009 Mystery Class at the Placentia Presbyterian Church. Our dates this year are Friday, March 20th or Saturday, March 21st. Sign ups will start February 1st for past attendees. New students will be able to register starting February 10th. The proceeds from this class will go to benefit ISN, Interfaith Shelter Network, run by the Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Service. You can find out more about this program by going to www.fies.us/. The cost for the class will be $75.00 ($60 to ISN and $15 for food and pattern). If you want to learn more about this class, email me at cathy@cathyfarrisquilts.com.
In April, the central valley hosts the Best of the Valley quilt show. This will be on April 17th-19th in Lindsay, CA. This is a new venue for them. I will be participating as a vendor. My booth will highlight my long arm quilting, my patterns, my kits and our new quilt racks. Check out this show at www.botvquilts.com. This quilt show is juried and judged. Maybe you want to consider entering.
Happy Quilting!
